Aruba
a division of Aruba Networks
Aruba Networks delivers an enterprise mobility solution that:
• enables: secure access to data, voice and video applications
• across: wireless and wireline enterprise networks.
The Aruba Mobile Edge Architecture allows to:
• seamlessly roam to different locations within an enterprise campus or office building
• while maintaining secure and consistent access to all of their network resources.
IT departments can:
• establish and enforce policies that control network access and prioritize application delivery based on an end-user's organizational role and authorization level.
• cost-effectively scale the same user-centric access model to remote locations, such as branch offices and home offices, to create a seamless mobility overlay that spans the extended enterprise network.
Aruba’s Mobile Edge System consists of three components:
- ArubaOS system software which provides all the intelligence for the Mobile Edge
- Mobility controllers which are centralized service delivery platforms for the Mobile Edge
- Controlled access points (APs) which tunnel wired and wireless user traffic to mobility controllers over the LAN, WAN and the Internet
